Wipro’s Thierry Delaporte has stepped down as MD and CEO of the company. According to the statement from the tech chiefs, Srinivas Pallia will be the new CEO of Wipro.
Recently, a significant change has taken place in the Indian technology company Wipro. Their technology chief and CEO, Thierry Delaporte, has stepped down. Srinivas Pallia has been named as the new CEO in this position. India’s fourth-largest tech major said in its statement on Saturday that Srinivas Pallia, who was the CEO of the company’s Americas 1 region, will take over as the new CEO and MD for five years from April 7, 2024. Srinivas Pallia is a Wipro veteran and has been at Wipro for more than three decades.
Thierry Delaporte will step down as CEO effective May 31, 2024. “The Board of Directors takes note of the resignation of Mr. Thierry Delaporte with effect from April 6, 2024,” Wipro said. “He will be relieved from the employment of the Company with effect from the expiry of the business tenure on May 31, 2024.”
